March 31st P.E. Renewals Are Open

You can now renew your Texas P.E. license through March 31st, 2026.

Renewal Changes

In order to comply with Senate Bill 681 from the 89th legislature, TBPELS is implementing rules to shift license and registration renewals to a two year cycle. This operational change will take place over the next two years. To align the March PE renewal cycle with the new system, the March 2026 renewal will be for 16 months and will expire in July 2027 (same fee, same PDH requirements).

For more details please see our Two Year Renewal FAQ page.

For each of your March 2026 renewal and your July 2027 renewal, you will need 15 hours of continuing education with at least one of those hours being in ethics.
